Guardian Program
Our Guardian Program is a special initiative designed to ensure the well-being and happiness of mother dogs participating in our breeding program. We believe in prioritizing the health and happiness of our dogs, and the Guardian Program is a testament to our commitment. We offer loving individuals and families the opportunity to become "guardians" of one of our mother dogs. The guardians will have full ownership of the dog for all aspects of life, except for breeding rights.
Program Overview:

1. Guardian Selection:
-
Prospective guardians undergo a thorough screening process, including a comprehensive application and home visit to ensure a safe and loving environment for the mother dog.
-
Guardians should demonstrate a commitment to the mother's well-being and be financially stable to provide proper care.

2. Compensation:
-
As a thank you to our guardian families for being part of our program, we offer financial compensation. This typically includes up to $100 per puppy, or a puppy from San Tan Doodles. Reach out to us for more info.

3. Ownership Rights:
-
Guardians have full ownership rights of the dog, except for breeding rights. This means they have legal ownership of the dog, and the dog lives with them as a beloved member of their family.
-
Guardians are responsible for the day-to-day care and well-being of the dog, including providing love, socialization, exercise, and enrichment.

4. Breeding Rights:
-
San Tan Doodles retains full breeding rights for 3-5 litters or until the dog reaches the age of 5-6 years old, depending on the breed.
-
During the breeding period, the dog will be temporarily returned to San Tan Doodles for breeding-related activities, and the guardian is responsible for any necessary pre- and post-breeding care, as directed by San Tan Doodles.

5. Health and Welfare:
-
The dog is spayed after her final litter, ensuring her health and preventing further breeding.
-
The guardian remains responsible for the dog's general health and well-being throughout her lifetime.
-
San Tan Doodles will be responsible to cover any breeding related expenses or vet bills.

6. Monitoring and Support:
-
Regular check-ins and support are provided by San Tan Doodles to ensure the dog's ongoing health and happiness.
-
Guardians and San Tan Doodles maintain open communication to address any concerns or questions that may arise.

The Guardian Program for mom dogs in responsible breeding programs is a model of care, ethics, and collaboration. It ensures the welfare and happiness of breeding dogs while maintaining the integrity of our breeding program. This program's structure, which offers compensation and full ownership to guardians, serves as a shining example of responsible breeding practices that prioritize the well-being of the dogs involved.
